The Role

The Software Engineer – Front End will contribute to the success of our company by participating in the full software development lifecycle of our platform from concept and planning to delivery and deployment with a concentration in consuming RESTful APIs and building beautiful user interfaces through modern JS frameworks. In addition, this role will support the team in troubleshooting and resolving customer support issues as they arise.

Main responsibilities include:

●     Apply software engineering best practices while modifying/enhancing our software platform.

●     Offering input into the designs of product enhancements and third-party integrations and documenting designs

●     Working closely with other engineers and product managers throughout the SDLC

●     Being responsible for the design and implementation of new product features and enhancements with guidance and input from other team members

●     Writing unit tests and integration tests to support any source code changes, performing code reviews, and related activities that contribute to development and maintenance.

●     Constructively engage with team members and management through open and active communication channels when problem solving and developing solutions, recommending changes in policies, procedures, and tooling.

●     Produce specifications as needed to determine operational feasibility and convey ROI projections of proposed solutions

●     Writes well designed, testable, efficient code 

●     Delivers development projects on time and within budget 

●     Provides support to our customers and our internal team as needed 

●     Conducts business that is aligned with our values and culture

The Skills

Individuals who ideally fit this role will meet the following qualifications:

●     3 or more years of experience with modern JS frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, etc.

●     Passion for building beautiful, usable software that solves problems

●     Experience in an Agile software development environment

●     Excellent instincts and intuitive problem solver

●     Professionalism, self-motivation and confidentiality are essential

●     Capable of self-directed work while developing repeatable processes

●     Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers at all levels of the organization

●     Acts with a sense of urgency

●     Professional experience with one or more of the following to build modern web applications:

●     Modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React/Redux, Vue, Angular, etc.)

●     CSS/Less/Sass

●     Typescript

●     PHP 

●     Relational databases

●     AWS 

●     NodeJS 

●     Git 

●     Docker 

●     Webpack 

●     NoSQL

●     RESTful APIs
