Who are we?

At Intrare, we seek to help those who, through no fault of their own, have been displaced or are fleeing for fear of their lives - to integrate into society and find gainful employment via our partners.

Looking to scale our solution to not only all of Mexico but to Columbia and beyond, we are searching for our first Sr. Engineering hire to join our team and help us execute our vision and roadmap.

What will you do?

You will be working with our Executive Leadership team to plan and execute on large-scale problems within the context of international talent and marketplace matching.

You will be the Sr.-most person in your POD and will take charge of your team's growth, set standards for code quality, and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in your area.

You will work with our UX team and CTO to create novel solutions to complex tasks while also understanding the tradeoffs between technical and product needs, and eventually grow into engineering management or staff engineer as you feel ready to take the next steps in your career.

We are a newly funded company, so while we still don't have everything quite figured out, here's what we know and will be offering.

Remote first work:

• We don't care where you do your best work as long as that place inspires you to create your best work. We would like to see you in the office once or twice a month to sync up with the team. Also, we do have company offsites, so the ability to travel is highly recommended (we will let you know well in advance when these events pop up, and we don't expect these to be frequent)

Home Office setup:

• Don't you hate slow computers? So do we - we will send you a state-of-the-art Macbook Pro and Ultrawide monitor to help ease the burden. Should you need more tools, we will provide them.

Competitive Rate Salary:

• You do this because you love solving problems, but that shouldn't mean you get stiffed just because you love your work. On the contrary, we strive to give you proper compensation for your work, and we are always looking at market trends to ensure it stays competitive.

Unlimited Vacation

• We ask everyone on the team to take at least 15 days of PTO every year to relax and reset.

What skills do you need?

Must Haves:

• In-Depth Experience with React & Javascript
• Experience with state management w/ Redux or TanStack Query/prev. React Query
• An extremely precise domain over CSS/Sass & libraries like Tailwind or similar and pixel-perfect responsive design.
• Experience working with APIs and creating bridges with other applications
• Collaboration skills and understanding of Agile workflows.
• Comfortable working with (but not focused on developing with) search tools like Elastic Search.
• Knowledge of Firebase (Firestore, Serverless Functions, Auth, & Storage)

Nice to Haves

We know that these skills will push you more into Fullstack or Backend territory (we plan to hire for these roles in the future.)

• Experience creating APIs (public and private facing), be it in Python or NodeJS.
• Excellent knowledge of Elastic Search
• Knowledge of GCP (not architecture, but deployment, CI/CD, and general solutions)
• Knowledge of MongoDB or Postgres.

Our Interview Process

We try to keep this short and simple:

1. 30-minute get to know you
2. 1:15 minute skills-based interview. We do 1 of the following based on your skill level: Architecture, Algorithm, or Design-execution challenge.
3. 30-minute culture fit.

We do these in separate interviews and try to get these done in the same week. We strive to give feedback whenever possible.
